AGGIE GAMBINO AGGIE GAMBINO

READY TO FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE

In the realm of education, Agueda (Aggie) Gambino is a name that stands for fierce advocacy and unwavering determination. Drawing from her personal experiences as a devoted mother, Aggie has embarked on a mission to transform the educational landscape for every child in Conroe ISD. Aggie Gambino has always been a fighter. Now, she is ready to fight for your children’s education the way she fought for her children’s.

After kindergarten, Aggie’s daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia and immediately began receiving dyslexia intervention services from her school. Due to a lack of appropriate support, Aggie watched her daughter’s reading fluency and comprehension rapidly decline. Pursuing justice, Aggie stood up for her daughter and took the school to court. She came out victorious, proving the school violated the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

Just as she did with her own daughter, Aggie is eager to stand up for each student in Conroe ISD. Aggie firmly believes that the learner must be at the center of every strategic goal and priority. She will fight to ensure each student’s needs are met and each parent’s concerns are addressed.

Aggie is a passionate conservative and devoted mother of three who is eager to leave a lasting legacy within her community. Her roots trace back to Fort Hood, where she was born while her father served in the Army, and her upbringing in Killeen, Texas was deeply influenced by her parents’ teachings to embrace her Panamanian heritage and spread the richness of her culture to others. Throughout her youth and early adulthood, Aggie dedicated herself to sharing the vibrant tapestry of Panamanian culture with her community, her state, and even across the nation, primarily through captivating folklore dances.

Graduating from the University of Houston at Victoria, Aggie earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She has built a rewarding career in Learning and Organizational Development and Change Management. Her professional experience has equipped her with a unique understanding of each child’s learning needs and the rewarding, though difficult, role of our educators.

Aggie’s lifelong commitment to community service has been a driving force in her life, exemplified by her extensive volunteer work with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity. Recently, she has assumed a more prominent and active role within her community. Her collaboration with the Texas Dyslexia Coalition in championing the Beckley Wilson Dyslexia Act in the Texas Senate stands as a testament to her dedication and advocacy for meaningful change.

Aggie Gambino has been married to her husband, Joseph, for 21 years, residing in Spring, where they have the privilege of raising their three beautiful daughters.
